A Maine Logging Family. Three Generations. One Yard.

Beaulieu Logging started as a logging operation in 1970 and has grown into one of Southern Maine's most trusted mulch, aggregate, and land management businesses. Three generations later, the work ethic has not changed, and the mulch still comes from the same Maine woods.

How This Started

The Beaulieu family started logging in Maine in 1970. Those early jobs meant hauling timber through the back roads of York County, long days, hard work, and learning every stand of woods from the inside out.

Over decades of logging, it became clear that the bark, chips, and wood waste from timber jobs had real value. Rather than discard it or sell it off cheap, the Beaulieu family invested in grinding and processing equipment, built a yard, and started turning that raw material into premium bark mulch. What was once a byproduct became a business of its own.

Today, Beaulieu Logging operates its yard on Route 111 in Lyman, stocked with eight varieties of mulch, a full aggregate selection, and the same direct-from-the-woods quality that started over fifty years ago. The third generation runs the operation now, and they run it the same way: show up, do the work right, and stand behind what you sell.

What "Made On-Site" Actually Means

When we say our mulch is made on-site, we mean exactly that. The timber we harvest on logging jobs comes to the yard. We grind the bark using our own equipment, age it appropriately by type, and sell it directly to you.

No outside suppliers. No construction debris blended in. No shortcuts taken to move volume.

Triple-ground means we run the material through the grinder three times, producing a consistent, finer texture that holds up longer, suppresses weeds more effectively, and looks better across an entire season. It takes more time. We do it anyway because the product is better.

Who We Are

The Beaulieu Family

We have worked with homeowners who come back every spring, contractors who have been ordering from us for years, and property owners who called us for a logging job and ended up mulching their whole yard with what we produced from it. That kind of connection to the work is what keeps a family business going.

How We Work

No Minimum, No Hassle

Whether you need one yard or one hundred, we treat every customer with the same straightforward service. Pull up, tell us what you need, and we load you.

Honest Dealing

If we are out of something, we tell you. If a material is not right for your project, we say so. We would rather give you good advice than sell you the wrong product.

York County Roots

We live here, we work here, and we know this corner of Maine better than most. That local knowledge shows up in how we approach every job, logging, land clearing, and the materials we sell.

Come See the Yard

The yard is on Route 111 in Lyman. Stop by during business hours, walk the product piles, and talk to the family. That is the best way to understand what Beaulieu Logging is.
